NAP+N-fhi 360 06 November, 2017
With the support of fhi 360 Linkages project, NAP+N is implement Capacity Strengthening of National PLHIV Network in Nepal since 2005. This project focuses on institutionalization of the network to plan and conduct advocacy for ensuring effective service delivery.
Objective: To strengthen the capacity and commitment of the network of PLHIV at the national level to improve access to prevention, care and treatment services.
Major activities: BCC activities, Condom promotion, HIV prevention, care, support and treatment services, linkages and referral services for STI management, HIV testing, counseling and other HIV services including legal aid, psychosocial and nutrition support.
Strengthen capacity of staff and volunteers, develop and maintain national and district level coordination and networking (Board meetings, support for convening General Assembly), provide basic support to regional chapters of NAP+N, conduct community events to reduce HIV related stigma and discrimination and commemorate special days and events etc.
Achievements and Lesson Learnt: Establishment of 5 regional chapters to overseeing PLHIV issues. Conduct S&D Reduction Training on regional level. Regional Chapter is a must to facilitate local issues.
